THINK Takes Over San Francisco

This weekend THINK flew to San Francisco to attend Treasure Island Flea- or so we thought. As I was in line waiting to pay for my rental car, I received an email notifying me that the event had been postponed due to inclement weather! Keep in mind that I had flown from NY to SF SOLELY for this event!

As you can imagine, I was absolutely shocked, surprised, let down- a combination of many emotions. So now what?

In business and in life, unexpected events can happen at any time. You can't control what's already happened but you can decide how you're going to handle it. It's important to regroup, pick yourself up, devise a plan, and move forward. I knew I only had a few days in San Francisco, so I wanted to make the best of an unfortunate situation and make my time there productive, no matter what!

On Small Business Saturday, we hit the streets and stopped in various fitness studios and boutiques where we formed great relationships with fellow small business owners. In the evening, we took a trip down to Los Gatos, a very cute town, home to wonderful boutiques, cozy cafes and a variety of restaurants. We were very productive indeed!

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of meeting up with fellow female entrepreneur and small business owner, Kira Stackhouse from Oakland Glass Co. She introduced us to some delicious eats in Oakland including Chop Bar, Miette (the best Macarons I've ever had), AND we visited the Blue Bottle Coffee factory, a coffee connoisseur's paradise (this stop was my fav!). Mmmm!

Monday was our adventure day!  We drove to Muir Woods and hiked five miles through the forest to see the famous Redwood trees.  Words cannot do this scenic trail justice, so hopefully these photos will suffice!

And finally, here's our whole weekend in just a few minutes:) Enjoy!!
